Although the Lema Mobili company was founded in 1970, the Meroni family’s tradition in the furniture sector dates back to the 1930s. The opening of the first shop in Milan, on the other hand, took place in the 1940s, a period of great turmoil that brought Meroni into contact with the great architects and designers who were then appearing on the national scene: among these, the collaboration with Angelo Mangiarotti was particularly decisive.
