The Purapietra brand was born in 2012 from the experience of Moscato Marmi, a Bologna-based company well-known for the quality of its workmanship and its in-depth knowledge of stones. The historic expertise of the Moscato family in the stone sector flows into this dynamic and refined project.

In collaboration with well-known contemporary architects, Purapietra offers furnishing objects with exclusive characteristics, made from new high-quality materials. The research and skills are evident right from the collection of Doble Paso outdoor seating with which Purapietra made its debut at the Milanese Fuorisalone in 2012: the innovative structure signed by the designer Lucy Salamanca is made up of overlapping grey quartzite slabs that create a dynamic play of infinitely combinable full and empty spaces.
With the Think of Stone collection, Purapietra has fun exploring new or unjustly neglected shapes, processes and textures, observing an extremely traditional product like the washbasin and an ancient material like stone from an absolutely modern point of view. At the heart of the Mohs collection are the carved stone washbasins, whose concept is inspired by the tradition of turning, generating persuasive lines that convey a sense of softness and harmony. The triangular and decisive cut of the Diamond washbasins creates different facets like the precious stone recalled by the name.
Even floors and walls benefit from the same innovative approach to design: in collaboration with the young talent Manuel Barbieri, Purapietra presents a stone cladding with modules that go beyond the traditional rectangular shape, inspired by the stylised profile of the wrench used in mechanics, hence the name KEY -Y. To complete the Purapietra proposal, a series of lamps and centrepieces of absolute conceptual and material refinement.
